Why i love photography

Taking photographs is my passion which speaks dearly to my life. As a child at the age of 7, I love getting my hands on a disposable camera and taking photographs of anything and everything. I indulged in taking photographs as a hobby and joined the yearbook club in middle school. When I picked up that Canon camera I was transported to a magical world. In that moment I knew what I wanted to do.

As time passed, life's road changed along with it. And photography for me had to take a back seat. I got married to my best friend and we have 6 beautiful children. As our kids grow, memorable times just seem to fly by within the blink of an eye. My husband and I decided that it is mom's time to reconnect with her passion. 

For me, when I am behind the camera capturing photographs I feel like a superhero and my super power is the ability to freeze moments in time. I believe that photographs, in themselves, are the fountain of youth with the magical capability that rewinds our lives and tells our stories.

Suggestions- Clothing Session

  • First, look for clothing that is comfortable and natural to your style.
  • Bold colors in primary or secondary colors go great together!
  • Neutral colors, deeper hues, and pops of color blend well in all settings
  • Use patterns to break up solid colors! 
    • Keep patterns complimentary by pairing larger floral prints with thin stripes or thick stripes with small floral prints.
  • Layers are always flattering! Necklaces, vests, cardigans, suspenders, bow ties, scarves, etc. add detail and texture to an outfit
    • Solid colors with texture overlays are perfect for adding balance to a pattern-heavy wardrobe grouping!

What about Mother Nature?

I understand that mother nature does not give us the most favorable weather conditions. If it is  sunny, cloudy, or both we will not reschedule. However, any other weather conditions we will all work together to schedule a new time and date for the session.

Where & when will my session take place?

I understand that we all have busy lives and will work with a time that best suite your time and availability.
When booking, you are welcome to suggest locations you'd like to use, or we can work together to find a location that best suits your vision!
Some parks and grounds require a permit and application.
Please keep in mind these locations require advance notice ranging from 2 weeks to 90 days for permitted sessions.
Any fees associated with these items will be added to your invoice, or billed separately.

Do you charge a deposit fee & what is it applied towards?

Yes, there is a non-refundable deposit of $50.00 is required with all the sessions due at the time of booking to reserve date and time. It does get applied to the amount of the session being purchased.

Do I have to sign forms?

Yes, there is some forms that will have to be filled out prior to your scheduled session. They will be emailed over and you can either print them off on the day of the session or email them back over.

Strong Suggested- What DOES NOT photograph well

  • Please, no logos, slogans, graphics, or phrases on clothing!
  • Avoid clothing with large areas of solid black, white, or bright red as these don't photograph well.
    • White clothing with texture (lacy, woven, etc) DOES photograph well.
  • Always avoid neon or fluorescent clothing!

Options for Consultation

There are options to make you feel comfortable and to cater to your busy schedule. Consults can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 45  minutes. We can schedule a meeting at a park to a coffee shop, phone consultation, or video conference. Whatever your choice might be I look forward to working with you!

 Engagement & Wedding Photography- Tori, did an amazing job with our engagement and wedding pictures! She did our engagement early in the fall, she was willing to move to a different location and get the pictures we wanted!
